Self-Hosting Ghost
Not much of a better way to celebrate finishing setup of Ghost by writing about it!
I'm hosting Ghost on a Debian 12 LXC through Proxmox, running on my cluster (I hope to someday soon write about my homelab in more detail!). I pretty much followed the initial docs - I'm using NGINX but not automatic SSL, since I'm routing this through a Cloudflare tunnel for caching and threat management, not that I'm expecting any threats.
The one hiccup I did run into was MySQL not being available through Debian; I just installed with SQLite3 instead. Apparently it's deprecated as of Ghost 8, but we'll see how long that takes to ship, and for Ghost 7 to lose support... For migration, I just plan to export all of my data and re-create the whole thing on an Ubuntu (Canonical, hiss!) container.
As far as content, I look forward to thinking of things to put here. As I add stuff to the homelab, I think I'll write about it, maybe I'll go back through and document some of the highlights. I don't think I can really plan on this site getting any public attention - blogs are dead, thanks social media!
